All Vireo Health Locations to Remain Open to Serve our Patients

The global outbreak of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) grows more widespread every day with cases increasing exponentially across the United States. Our thoughts are with all who have been affected.

We have received many questions about our status and ability to stay open to serve our patients. Therefore, we wanted to provide more information about our open status and our increased efforts to protect health and safety.

Vireo Health is considered an “essential service” because we are a healthcare company that provides important medication to patients. Therefore, we will remain open so that we can serve our patients and provide continuity in their medicine.

Our Compliance Team is actively monitoring new information and any guidance issued by state regulators to make sure we are closely following all new regulations to ensure public health.

Vireo has already implemented a variety of enhanced measures to protect patient and employee safety. These efforts include additional cleaning and sanitation policies and a “workplace distancing” policy. To further protect our team members and our patients we have also implemented several new Standard Operating Procedures.

Below you can find those efforts listed for each state in which we operate our own dispensaries – Arizona, Minnesota, New Mexico, New York and Pennsylvania.

Minnesota – MinnMed:

Effective Thursday 4/2, we are happy to share we have implemented the following new procedures for your safety and convenience.

Curbside option for medication pick-up now available – to utilize curbside pick-up, patients must order online using our eCommerce shop. During “check-out” on our website, please type “curbside pick-up” in the comments box when placing your order.  When you arrive, please call the dispensary directly:

  • Bloomington: (952) 800-4404; Minneapolis: (612) 999-1615
  • Moorhead: (218) 206-6600; Rochester: (507) 481-3140

Please be ready to provide 1) your name, 2) location outside (patients must be parked in front of our location *Minneapolis location parked in rear parking lot), and 3) vehicle description. A PCC will come to your vehicle to accept payment and provide your medicine. If possible, we ask that you pay via CanPay to avoid the exchange of cash.  Debit cards are not accepted for curbside pick-up.

Please also feel free to come to our front window to let us know you have arrived! Provide us with your medical ID and form of payment, & we will bring your medicine right out to your vehicle for convenience.

Window pick up for all medications – patients will no longer be able to enter the waiting room area or dispensary. We will be dispensing all medications for patients at our front vestibule windows. We will validate all patients ID, collect payments, and dispense at the vestibule window.

All new patient and existing patient consultations will now occur by video conference or telephone. Upon booking consultation appointments, patients will be provided a link to our video conference portal which will allow you to engage with our pharmacy team at your scheduled time. If you have a smart phone with camera function – we are pleased to share you will now be able to complete your video conference consultation from your phone.

Patient Certifications that expire as of March 31, 2020 will be extended – and now expire on August 1, 2020, or 60 days after the end of the peacetime emergency, whichever date is later. If you have have questions about the state’s caregiver program, please contact health.cannabis@state.mn.us or call 651-201-5598 (metro area) or 844-879-3381 (toll free).

Patients can register emergency temporary caregivers to assist in accessing medical cannabis – an emergency caregiver may be added through a patient’s Medical Cannabis Registry account.

Also please note our new hours of operation as of March 25th:

All four locations: Please note that from 12 pm – 12:30 pm each day we will not be able to process orders and dispense medicine. This is due to staffing restrictions. We will reopen the doors promptly at 12:30 pm each day.
