ALBANY BUSINESS REVIEW: MEDICAL MARIJUANA COMPANY DEVELOPING DRUGS FOR FDA APPROVAL
Vireo Health, the parent company of one of New York’s approved medical marijuana growers, has signed a deal to begin development of a new class of cannabinoid-based drugs.
The Minnesota company, which owns Vireo Health of New York, plans to seek FDA approval for these drugs eventually. FDA approval would grant the medications prescription drug coverage, which would allow some who need the drug to get it for a cheaper price.
